Norvask is a drug produced by the American company Pfizer for the effective treatment of arterial hypertension, angina pectoris, coronary heart disease and a number of other diseases of the cardiovascular system.

The active substance of the drug Norvasc is amlodipine, blockers of slow calcium channels of the 3rd generation. It has antianginal and hypotensive effects. You can order the original drug Norvasc from Pfizer at a low price in our pharmacy.

How does Norvask work?

By binding to dihydropyridine receptors, Norvasc blocks calcium channels and reduces the transmembrane transition of calcium into the cell. The antianginal effect is due to the expansion of the coronary and peripheral arteries and arterioles: with angina pectoris, it reduces the severity of myocardial ischemia, reduces the afterload on the heart and reduces myocardial oxygen demand.

In arterial hypertension, a single dose provides a clinically significant decrease in blood pressure within the next 24 hours. At the same time, one of the positive features of Norvasc is that it does not cause a sharp decrease in blood pressure.

Norvasc reduces the degree of left ventricular myocardial hypertrophy and it has anti-atherosclerotic properties in ischemic heart disease, and also has a number of other vital important features in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

How to use Norvasc?

Norvasc is available in the form of white and almost white pills in blisters of different sizes, depending on the required dosage. Norvasc and other amlodipine-based drugs are intended for oral administration once a day.

In case of arterial hypertension and angina pectoris, the initial dose is 5 mg. Depending on the therapeutic effect, the daily dose can be increased to a maximum of 10 mg.

For elderly patients, the drug is recommended to be used in an average therapeutic dose, and no further dosage change is required. Dosage adjustment for patients with impaired liver or kidney function is also not required, but before buying Norvask in our pharmacy and using it, you should consult with your doctor to select the most effective treatment regimen.

What contraindications Norvasc has?

Norvasc and amlodipine-based medicines should not be prescribed to patients with hypersensitivity to the components and with severe arterial hypotension. It should also be taken with caution by patients with hypertension, chronic heart failure and a number of other diseases of the cardiovascular system. There have been no adequate and strictly controlled studies on the safety of taking Norvask during pregnancy.

Common side effects of taking Norvasc include headache, excessive fatigue, drowsiness, nausea, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, and others. More information about side effects can be found in the leaflet that you receive when you order Norvasc in our pharmacy.

Norvasc is an effective medicine for the treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system, which saves the lives of thousands of people around the world. The easy form of intake and absorption makes the use of Norvask really easy for patients.
